February 2011

"Archive Your Files Month"

Why now, why February? Well, by February most of us typically have received the majority of year end statements, W2's, 1099's and other important tax documents. It is the ideal time to gather receipts and other information pertaining to filing your tax returns. February is the logical month to...

  • Edit out 2010 paperwork
  • Set up files to reflect 2011
  • Reclaim your workspace, keep your prime real estate clear
  • Relocate archived papers elsewhere, such as a filing cabinet in the basement or garage, perhaps bankers boxes in the attic or off site.
  • Clearly label all boxes and files for future reference and retrieval

Remember...when the files and file drawers are so packed full, the likelihood of maintaining diminishes and piles begin to grow outside of the cabinets. Ugh!!

Need help with your paperwork nightmare...just give a call and Ellen will be on the way to answer your S.O.S. 845-453-4481

Happy Valentine's Day! Ellen
